Les Gets has the famous Lake Geneva on one side and the equally famous Mont Blanc on the other, situated on the Morzine side of the Portes du Soleil ski area - one of the largest in the world.

Les Gets offers excellent and diverse skiing for beginners to expert alike and family friendly village centre. Here you'll find wonderful snow pastures hemmed in by incredible views, and iconic Alpine slopes lined by trees with access to a huge ski area.

Les Gets has plenty of trees which make it the place to come when the weather draws in, and provides some the of the most attractive pistes in the Portes du Soleil area. It’s easily linked to Morzine, and from there you can get up to Avoriaz, or better still if you have access to a car or an accommodating chalet host a short drive will take you to the base of the Ardent gondola giving quicker access to the wider area. The local buses are also a good way to go. During peak times the lift from the village can get busy, and is often one of the few places we’ve had to queue for lifts when in Morzine-Les Gets.

Once up the mountain Les Gets is often quieter than the pistes over towards Morzine and the town has remained traditionally French in feel with lots of quaint chalets and some good restaurants and bars.

The town of Les Gets sits 1170 metres above sea level so like Morzine it can suffer from rain and lack of snow. In these situations head up to nearby Avoriaz to enjoy the best snow conditions in the region.
