about
British Columbia sits on the west coast of Canada nestling up the Pacific Ocean and the USA. It’s capital is Vancouver which is the airport of choice for accessing one of it’s biggest attractions: Whistler Blackcomb, which is just two hour drive north of the city. This is one of the best and most famous ski areas in the world and one worthy of the long flight if you’re heading from Europe.
In BC you’ll also find Fernie, Revelstoke, Big White, Kicking Horse, Panorama and a host of other ski resorts. Most are clustered in the south-east corner region but this is Canada remember, a big country, and British Columbia encompasses a huge area so don’t think about jumping on the local bus and getting from Whistler to Fernie to catch the afternoon runs.
